Title
The Wolfram Compiler
Description
The Wolfram Compiler is a long term project for the compilation of Wolfram Language programs. It converts Wolfram Language into native machine code, thereby combining a high-level language with low-level execution technology. This talk will describe the Wolfram Compiler, its benefits and goals of the project. It will discuss advantages of developing a compiler in the Wolfram Language, as well as challenges and their resolution. Examples will be given of working with the DataStructure library, calling external code and the type system. Finally, it will describe new efforts for improving the speed at which the Compiler generates output.
